Playground
Nature’s Classroom Awaits
New Vision
We are excited to announce that we are developing a brand-new, upgraded natural playground!

To bring this vision to life, we’ve partnered with an expert natural playground designer who handcrafts every element from scratch using high-quality materials. Many of the wooden structures will be charred using the traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique, enhancing their durability while giving them a stunning, timeless finish.

The new playground will feature a climbing pyramid, balancing beam, double slide, sandpit, engaging mud & water stations, and more - all designed to encourage active, sensory-rich play. Additionally, new vegetable & herb planters will give children the opportunity to observe and engage with the natural growing process. And of course, we’re leaving plenty of open space for kids to run freely and explore.

Construction is set to begin in March 2025, with completion and safety inspections expected by the end of April 2025. We can’t wait for the children to experience this exciting new outdoor space!

Beginnings
We opened our doors in 2012 and knew from the start that we wanted our preschool’s garden to be as natural a playground as possible - a place where children could truly connect with nature.

We focused on designing a space that embraced natural materials, incorporating wooden logs, tree stumps, and open-ended elements to spark creativity. We also worked with the landscape, creating features like our slide, which is seamlessly built into an existing escarpment.

Since then, countless children have delighted in exploring our playground - observing plants and insects awaken in spring, splashing in refreshing water play during summer, creating muddy masterpieces in autumn, and building snow forts in the magic of winter.
Every season brings new adventures and endless opportunities for learning through play!
